OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated June 6, 2013, and pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Elizabeth Cusack, Q.C. of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (North Sydney), Nova Scotia to the Nova Scotia Police Review Board effective July 9, 2013 for a term of three years; (

b) fix the remuneration of Elizabeth Cusack, Q.C. as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board at $150 per meeting; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Elizabeth Cusack, Q.C. and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
