Statute: Forests Act Public Service Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated August 11, 2017, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 179 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Forests Act , and

Section 6 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased to: (

a) authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to formalize an agreement with the Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact providing for the exchange of services, information and training in respect of forest fires; and (

b) approve the Minister of Natural Resources entering into an agreement in the form set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, or an agreement to like form and effect.
