Order in Council 168/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Robert Bateman was appointed as part-time lay bencher of the Law Society of Ontario for a fixed term effective June 6, 2019 and ending immediately before the first regular Convocation following the first election of benchers under subsection 15(1) of the Law Society Act that takes place after the effective date of the appointment, by Order in Council O.C. 883/2019;

And

whereas Robert Bateman has since deceased;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 23(1) of the Law Society Act , Order in Council O.C. 883/2019 be revoked effective the date this Order in Council is made.
