TURKEY PRODUCERS MARKETING PLAN AMENDMENT REGULATION

on May 21, 2008 pursuant to

section 23 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products

Act.

1 The Turkey Producers Marketing Plan Regulation

(AR 259/97) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 8 is amended

(

a) in subsection (2)

(

i) in clause (b)(ii) by striking out "5 days' written

notice" and substituting "5 business days' notice";

(ii) in clause (c)(ii) by striking out "5 days' written

notice" and substituting "5 business days' notice";

(

b) in subsection (3)(

i) by striking out "continuous".

Section 18 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (5):

(6) Notwithstanding subsection (3), an eligible producer who was

a director is once again eligible to be a director if one year has

elapsed from the conclusion of that eligible producer's last term of

office as a director.

Section 30 is amended

(

a) in subsection (2)(

b) by striking out "or elsewhere";

(

b) in subsection (5) by striking out "3 years" and

substituting "one year".

Section 38.1 is repealed.

Section 39 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2008" and

substituting "May 31, 2013".

ALBERTA CANOLA PRODUCERS MARKETING

AMENDMENT REGULATION

2008 pursuant to

section 26 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act and

approved by the Agricultural Products Marketing Council on May 17, 2008 pursuant

section 26 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.

1 The Alberta Canola Producers Marketing Regulation

(AR 142/98) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 1(1) is amended

(

a) by adding the following after clause (a):

(a.1) "Council" means the Alberta Agricultural Products

Marketing Council;

(a.2) "dealer" means a person purchasing or acquiring

regulated product from a producer and includes

(

i) a person who is an elevator or grain company, a

grain dealer or a canola crusher, and

(ii) a person who acquires regulated product from a

producer to sell on the producer's behalf;

(

b) by adding the following after clause (b):

(c) "producer" means a person who

(

i) grows canola on one or more parcels of land in

Alberta for sale, and

(ii) is entitled to a share of the canola grown on any

land pursuant to a crop share agreement.

Section 22 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2008" and

substituting "May 31, 2013".

TURKEY MARKETING AMENDMENT REGULATION

the Agricultural Products Marketing Council on May 17, 2008 pursuant to sections 26

and 27 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.

1 The Turkey Marketing Regulation (AR 113/98) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 16 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the

following:

Lease of quota

16(1) A producer, with the prior authorization of the Board,

may lease all or part of the producer's quota to another

producer.

(

b) in subsection (4) by striking out "shall" and

substituting "may".

Section 31 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2008" and

substituting "May 31, 2013".

ALBERTA CANOLA PRODUCERS MARKETING PLAN

AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 23 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products

Act.

1 The Alberta Canola Producers Marketing Plan

Regulation (AR 108/98) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 29 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (1):

(1.1) The term of office of the officers of the Board of Directors,

including the chair and vice-chair, expires on the conclusion of the

annual Commission meeting following the year the officers, chair

and vice-chair were elected.

Section 30 is amended

(

a) in subsection (2) by striking out "general" wherever it

occurs and substituting "Commission";

(

b) by adding the following after subsection (2):

(3) A director may, with the approval of the Council, be elected

to serve one additional consecutive term as director to enable the

Board of Directors to fulfil its commitments to a national group,

an industry group or to an association of which the Commission

is a member.

Section 31(3) is repealed and the following is

substituted:

(3) Where an individual is appointed as a director under subsection

(2), that director shall serve for the unexpired portion of the term

and,

(

a) if the individual is appointed within the first half of the term,

it shall be considered the appointed director's first full term,

and

(

b) if the individual is appointed within the 2nd half of the term,

it shall not be considered the appointed director's first full

term.

Section 36(2) is amended by adding "and adjunct director

positions" after "vacant positions".

Section 39 is amended by striking out "plan" and

substituting "Plan".

Section 43 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2008" and

substituting "May 31, 2013".

8 The

Schedule is amended

a) in

(
