Interpretation Act
OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated February 26, 2019, and pursuant to
Section 52 of
Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act , and
Section 19 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the
Interpretation Act , is pleased to: (
a) appoint Erin Fowler, Barrister, of Toronto, in the Province of Ontario, as a Legislative Counsel, effective March 25, 2019; (
b) determine that the appointment be for a probationary period and that the appointment be made permanent after one year of satisfactory service as determined by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; (
c) determine the salary of Erin Fowler to be at the Civil Service MCL pay scale at a level to be determined by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; and (
d) direct that Erin Fowler, in carrying out her duties shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Legislative Counsel.
