OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated February 27, 2013, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,
Section 20 of
Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act,
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective March 5, 2013: (
a) confirm the appointment of Jeffrey Conrad as Associate Deputy Minister of Labour and Advanced Education made by Order in Council 2010-80, dated February 16, 2010, prescribe that his duties as Associate Deputy Minister shall be responsibility for the Atlantic Workforce Partnership, and declare that he may be referred to as Associate Deputy Minister Atlantic Workforce Partnership; (
b) appoint Lora MacEachern as Associate Deputy Minister of Labour and Advanced Education; (
c) designate Lora MacEachern as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in the performance of the duties of the deputy as have been or may be delegated pursuant to
Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (
d) fix and determine the salary of Lora MacEachern to be at such rate, as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; (
e) direct that Lora MacEachern shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (
f) designate Lora MacEachern to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
