Order in Council 1273/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1217/2022, dated September 8, 2022, Michael Doucet was appointed as a member of the Ottawa Police Services Board for a period not to exceed three years effective from September 8, 2022;

And

whereas the Ottawa Police Services Board was continued as a police service board under the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 on April 1, 2024,

And

whereas Michael Doucet continued in office as a member of the Ottawa Police Services Board under

section 31 of the Community Safety and Policing Act , 2019 ,

And

whereas on August 23, 2024, Michael Doucet has, in writing, resigned his appointment;

Therefore , pursuant to

section 27 of the Police Services Act and

section 31 of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 , Order in Council numbered O.C. 1217/2022 dated September 8, 2022, appointing Michael Doucet as a member of the Ottawa Police Services Board, is hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
