OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated April 11, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , and pursuant to

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act, is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as PID 10091148, containing an area of 1.031 acres, more or less, located at or near Cape George, Antigonish County, more particularly described in

Schedule "A" and shown on

Schedule "B" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) authorize the conveyance of PID 10091148 to Christopher MacGillivray of Antigonish, Antigonish County, and Gerard MacGillivray of Halifax, Halifax County, for the consideration of $988.03, plus $148.20 HST for a total purchase price of $1,136.23; (

c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the land herein above described; and (

d) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purpose of this Order.
