OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated January 4, 2012, and pursuant to subsection 7(

a) of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to: (

a) acquire a long strip of land on the Chignecto Isthmus located between Fort Lawrence and Tidnish, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, being identified in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale as PID 25063892 shown outlined in bold in part on Map 1 and continuing on Map 2 in

Schedule "A", which is attached to and forms part of the Report and Recommendation, from Chignecto Ship Railway Company Limited, its respective executors, heirs, trustees, administrators and approved successors and assigns for a purchase price of $357,000 plus any legal, appraisal or survey costs incurred by the Minister in respect of the purchase, subject to the condition that Chignecto Ship Railway Company Limited, its respective executors, heirs, trustees, administrators and approved successors and assigns, be able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (

b) execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
