Order in Council 1099/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has carried out a review of the Provincial Planning Statement and has consulted with municipalities, stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and members of the public;

And

whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has decided that the Provincial Policy Statement and its predecessors should be revoked;

And

whereas the attached Provincial Planning Statement provides that it is effective as of October 20, 2024;

And

whereas the Minister recommends that the Lieutenant Governor in Council approve the attached Provincial Planning Statement;

Now therefore the attached Provincial Planning Statement is hereby approved under subsection 3(1) of the Planning Act , and the Provincial Policy Statement and its predecessors are revoked as of the effective date of the Provincial Planning Statement.
