OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated March 25, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 672.38 of

Chapter C46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code , is pleased to, effective April 22, 2014: (

a) appoint Dr. Nicholas J.G. Delva of Halifax Regional Municipality, (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Code Review Board for a term of three years; (

b) determine the remuneration of Dr. Nicholas J.G. Delva be at the rate of $75.00 per hour, plus reasonable expenses; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Nicholas J.G. Delva and indemnify him from personal liability provided the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
