Order in Council 192/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council has established the position of Special Advisor, Commercial Project Lead of the iGaming Initiative (the “Special Advisor”), to the Minister of Finance and the Attorney General and has reappointed the Special Advisor;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve Her Majesty's Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Special Advisor's remuneration

The Special Advisor shall be paid remuneration at the following rates for service in his or her role as the Special Advisor, up to a maximum of $150,000 for the term of the appointment:

a rate of $1,000 per diem for service of three hours or more; and

a rate of $500 per diem for service of less than three hours.

Expenses

In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the duties of the Special Advisor in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet's Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive .
