OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, dated February 27, 2019, and pursuant to

Section 21 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act is pleased to designate as a controlled access highway the following sections of highway in the County of Antigonish: (

a) the access ramps at the Paqtnkek Interchange at Exit 36B; (

b) both the north and south roundabouts at Exit 36B; (

c) Afton Road, a distance of approximately 2.1 km, beginning at the intersection of its centreline with the centreline of Trunk 4, and extending first in a southerly direction to the access ramps at Exit 36B, and then in an easterly direction to its intersection with the centreline of the existing Afton Road; (

d) two sections of Trunk 4 with the first

section commencing at the intersection of the centrelines of Afton Road and the centreline of Trunk 4, and extending 100 m in a westerly direction, and the second

section commencing at the aforementioned intersection and extending 100 m in an easterly direction; (

e) a

section of Simon Road, beginning at the intersection of its centreline with the centreline of Afton Road, and extending 100 m in a southeasterly direction on Simon Road; and (

f) a

section of Bayside Road, beginning at its intersection with the South Roundabout, and extending in a southwesterly direction a distance of 100 m on Bayside Road, all as shown on

Schedule “A”, attached to and forming part of this Report and Recommendation.
