Cochrane, Q.C., Member O R D E R The Board having heard an application by Halifax Regional Municipality pursuant to s. 368 of the Municipal Government Act to confirm the number of councillors and polling districts, and to confirm the boundaries of the polling districts, and the Board having issued its decision on February 13, 2004; It is hereby ordered that the application is approved in part as follows: 1. the number of councillors is set at 23; 2. the number of polling districts for Halif ax Regional Municipality is set at 23; 3. the descriptions of the boundaries of the polling districts are amended and are set out in

Schedule “A”, attached to and forming part of this Order; 4. the polling district maps are set out in

Schedule “B ”, attached to and forming part of this Order; And it is further ordered that for the purposes of all provisions of the Municipal Government Act and the Municipal Elections Act and of any other acts of the Province of Nova Scotia applying to the preparation for and holding of the regular election of councillors of the Municipality in the year 2004, the above-noted changes shall be deemed to have taken effect on the first day of March, 2004, but for all other purposes, such changes shall take effect on the first day of the first meeting of the new Council after the election of councillors for the year 2004.

Summary Offence Tickets Regulations Order in Council 2004-202 dated May 7, 2004 Amendment to regulations made by the Minister of Justice and the Governor in Council pursuant to

Section 8 of the

Summary Proceedings Act The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated April 7, 2004, and pursuant to

Section 8 of

Chapter 450 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Summary Proceedings Act, is pleased to amend the

Summary Offence Ticket[s] Regulations made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2001-21 dated January 18, 2001, to repeal and include certain offences under the Halifax Regional Municipality By-laws as

summary offence ticket offences and set the out of court settlement amounts for the offences in the manner set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after May 7, 2004. Order I, Michael G. Baker, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Nova Scotia, do hereby order and direct pursuant to

Section 8 of

Chapter 450 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Summary Proceedings Act, that the penalty to be entered on a summons in respect of an offence set out in amendments to the Schedules to the

Summary Offence Tickets Regulations as set forth in

Schedule “A”, shall be the amount of the out of court settlement set out opposite the description of that offence, and the out of court settlement amount shall include the charge provided for, and in accordance with, Sections 8 and 9 of the Act. This Order is effective on and after the making by the Governor in Council of the amendments to the

Summary Offence Tickets Regulations set out in

Summary Proceedings Act The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated April 7, 2004, and pursuant to

Section 8 of

Chapter 450 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Summary Proceedings Act, is pleased to amend the

Summary Offence Ticket[s] Regulations made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2001-21 dated January 18, 2001, to include certain offences under the Town of Digby By-laws as

summary offence ticket offences and set the out of court settlement amounts for the offences, and to amend certain offences under the Municipality of the County of Kings By-laws in the manner set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after May 7, 2004. Order I, Michael G. Baker, Q.C., Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Nova Scotia, do hereby order and direct pursuant to

Section 8 of

Chapter 450 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Summary Proceedings Act, that the penalty to be enforced on a summons in respect of any offence set out in the amendments to the Schedules to the

Summary Offence Ticket[s] Regulations as set forth in

Schedule “A”, shall be the amount of the out of court settlement set out opposite the description of that offence, and the out of court settlement amount shall include the charge provided for in, and in accordance with

Section 8 of the Act. This Order shall be effective on and after the making by the Governor in Council of the amendments to the

Summary Offence Ticket[s] Regulations set out in

Schedule “A”.

summary offence ticket offences and set the out of court settlement amounts for the offences in the manner set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after May 7, 2004.

Summary Proceedings Act, that the penalty to be entered on a summons in respect of any offence set out in the amendments to the Schedules to the

Summary Offence Tickets Regulations as set forth in

Schedule “A”, shall be the amount of the out of court settlement set out opposite the description of that offence, and the out of court settlement amount shall include the charge provided for in, and in accordance with, Sections 8 and 9 of the Act.
