OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated October 29, 2004, and pursuant to Sections 7 and 23 of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to: (

a) enter into an agreement with Nova Scotia Nature Trust, a registered, non-profit society, having its head office in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for the acquisition of ecologically significant natural areas, substantially in the form attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation as

Schedule "A"; (

b) provide for financial assistance to Nova Scotia Nature Trust in the amount of $300,000 in accordance with the terms of the agreement; (

c) accept, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of the Province of Nova Scotia, conveyances of ecologically significant areas, with a minimum total appraised market value of $300,000, over the next three years from Nova Scotia Nature Trust, its administrators, successors or assigns, subject to the condition that the Nova Scotia Nature Trust, its administrators, successors, or assigns, be able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (

d) execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
