OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated November 19, 1998, pursuant to subsections 5(1) and (3) and

Section 7 of

Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1992, the Utility and Review Board Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Roland A. Deveau of R.R.#1 Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, to be a full-time member of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board effective December 1, 1998; (

b) determine that the remuneration to be paid to Roland A. Deveau be at the rate of $73,708.00 per annum; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Roland A. Deveau and indemnify him from personal liability provided, however, that any claim arising out of his activities in relation to his appointment is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
