Order in Council 1605/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Short-Term Advisory Body on Student Achievement and Assessment (the “Advisory Body”) was established by Order in Council made pursuant to clause 10(

a) of the Education Act ;

Therefore , pursuant to clause 10(

a) of the Education Act and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006:

The member of the Advisory Body designated as Chair shall be remunerated at the rate of:

$1,500 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for more than 3 hours for that particular day, subject to (c);

$750 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for 3 hours or less for that particular day, subject to (c); and

The sum of the amounts paid under (

a) and (

b) shall not exceed $262,500 for the term of the appointment.

The other member of the Advisory Body shall be remunerated at the rate of:

$1,000 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for more than 3 hours for that particular day, subject to (c);

$500 for each day that he or she is engaged in duties of the Advisory Body for 3 hours or less for that particular day, subject to (c); and

The sum of the amounts paid under (

a) and (

b) shall not exceed $175,000 for the term of the appointment.

In addition to the remuneration set out above, the members of the Advisory Body, including the Chair, shall be reimbursed for reasonable work-related expenses incurred in carrying out their duties in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
