B.C. Reg. 36/2019 , deposited March 6, 2019, under the EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS ACT [section 127]. Order in Council 97/2019, approved and ordered March 6, 2019.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Employment Standards

Regulation, B.C. Reg. 396/95, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 27 (1) and (2) of the Employment Standards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 396/95,

is amended by striking out " saving institution " and substituting " savings institution ".

Section 32 (1) (

f) is repealed and the following substituted:

(

f) a person who is a claimant, as defined in the Employment Insurance Act (Canada), and is

(

i) attending a course or program of instruction or training referred to in

section 25 (1) (

a) of that Act, or

(ii) participating in any other employment activity referred to in

section 25 (1) (

b) of that Act.

Section 32 (3) is amended

(

a) by repealing paragraphs (

a) to (

c) and substituting the following:

(

a) income assistance or supplements under the Employment and Assistance Act , or

(

b) disability assistance or supplements under the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act , , and

(

b) by striking out " paragraph (a), (

b) or (c) " and substituting " paragraph (

a) or (b) ".

4 Sections 37.9 (8) (

a) and (9) (a) (

i) and (b) (

i) and 37.14 (4) (

a) are amended

by striking out " pay cheque " and substituting " paycheque ".

Section 38 (4) is amended by striking out " canceled " and substituting " cancelled ".

Section 42 (2) is amended by striking out " British Columbia Ferry Corporation " and substituting " British Columbia Ferry Services Inc " .
