Statute: Workers’ Compensation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education dated April 27, 2016, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Dean Tupper of Centreville, Kings County, as a worker representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia commencing June 7, 2016; (

b) appoint Rick Clarke of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth), as a worker representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of 4 years commencing June 7, 2016; (

c) order that Rick Clarke be remunerated for his service as a member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, in the amount of $300 per day, for attendance at meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees and meeting preparation, and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred by him in fulfilling his duties as a member, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; and (

d) order that Rick Clarke receive an annual honorarium in the amount of $2,000 for chairing committees of the Board of Directors, to be paid on a pro rata basis.
