I, Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Housing, order that, effective December 31, 2024, the Power Engineers, Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Refrigeration Safety Regulation, B.C. Reg. 104/2004, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 6 of the Power Engineers, Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Refrigeration Safety Regulation, B.C. Reg. 104/2004, is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

g) by striking out " refrigerant groups A1, A2 or B1 " and substituting " refrigerant groups A1, A2L, A2 or B1 ", and

(

b) in paragraph (

h) by striking out " refrigerant groups A3, B2 or B3 " and substituting " refrigerant groups A3, B2L, B2 or B3 ".

Section 25 (1) (a) (ii) is amended

(

a) in clause (

A) by striking out " group A3, B2 or B3 refrigerants " and substituting " group A3, B2L, B2 or B3 refrigerants ", and

(

b) in clause (

B) by striking out " group A1, A2 or B1 refrigerants " and substituting " group A1, A2L, A2 or B1 refrigerants ".

Section 61 (3) is amended

(

a) by striking out " Group Al, A2 or B1 refrigerant " and substituting " Group A1, A2L, A2 or B1 refrigerant ", and

(

b) by striking out " Group A3, B2 or B3 refrigerant " and substituting " Group A3, B2L, B2 or B3 refrigerant ".

Section 62 (6) is amended

(

a) by striking out " Group Al, A2 or B1 refrigerant " and substituting " Group A1, A2L, A2 or B1 refrigerant ", and

(

b) by striking out " Group A3, B2 or B3 refrigerant " and substituting " Group A3, B2L, B2 or B3 refrigerant ".

5 Division 4 of

Part 5 is repealed.

Section 1 of the

Schedule is repealed and the following substituted:

1 The ASME PTC 25-2014 Pressure Relief Devices code of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is adopted.

Section 2 of the

Schedule is amended by striking out " 2015 Edition " and substituting " 2023 Edition ".

Section 3 of the

Schedule is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

b) by striking out " Tenth Edition " and substituting " Eleventh Edition ", and

(

b) by repealing paragraph (

c) and substituting the following:

(

c) API 570 Revision/Edition 5 Piping Inspection Code: In service Inspection, Rating, Repair, and Alteration of Piping Systems.

Section 4 of the

Schedule is repealed.

Section 5 of the

Schedule is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

a) by striking out " CSA B51-14 " and substituting " CSA B51:24 ", and

(

b) in paragraph (

b) by striking out " CSA B52-13 " and substituting " CSA B52:23 ".

Section 6 of the

Schedule is amended by striking out " 2015 Edition " and substituting " 2023 Edition ".

12 Sections 7 and 8 of the

Schedule are repealed.
