OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated June 5, 2008, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act,
Section 2 of
Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of Alastair Saunders as Assistant Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs effective February 1, 2008 and, effective June 10, 2008: (
a) revoke the appointment of Scott Logan as Assistant Deputy Minister of Health Promotion and Protection; (
b) appoint Scott Logan as Assistant Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs; (
c) fix and determine the terms and conditions of Scott Logan's appointment to be as contained in the contract of service approved by Executive Council from time to time; (
d) designate Scott Logan as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in the performance of the duties that have been or may be from time to time delegated to him pursuant to
Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (
e) direct that Scott Logan shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (
f) designate Scott Logan to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
