OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing dated November 26, 2021, and pursuant to

Section 20 of

Chapter 211 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Housing Act , is pleased, effective May 10, 2022, to: (

a) transfer such sum or sums as are considered necessary for the purpose of the Act from the General Revenue Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia in favour of Housing Nova Scotia to a maximum of One Billion Eight Hundred Million Dollars ($1,800,000,000) for the purpose of funding the Province of Nova Scotia’s long-term care facility redevelopments and new construction; and (

b) provide that statutory capital from paragraph (

a) of Order in Council 2020-132 dated April 27, 2020, and paragraph (

c) of Order in Council 2010-148 dated March 30, 2010, be used for the purpose of funding the Province of Nova Scotia’s long-term care facility redevelopments and new construction.
