OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated January 4, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) re-appoint Glen Johnson of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, K. Andrew MacNeil of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, David S. Pearson of Chelsea, Lunenburg County, Alison Hickey of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, Brent Levy of Hammonds Plains, Halifax Regional Municipality, Andrea L.

Smillie of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, Brian Sharp of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, and Diane Manara of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality as full-time Appeal Commissioners of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal each for a term of office of three (3) years, extending from April 1, 2021 up to and including March 31, 2024, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

b) re-appoint Valerie Paul of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office extending from July 9, 2021 up to and including March 31, 2024, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

c) fix the remuneration of Glen Johnson, K. Andrew MacNeil, David S. Pearson, Alison Hickey, Brent Levy, Andrea L. Smillie, Diane Manara, Valerie Paul and Brian Sharp as fulltime Appeal Commissioners in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC12) in the range of $79,340.56 to $109,094.18, subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC12); and (

d) order that Civil Service benefits be extended to Glen Johnson, K. Andrew MacNeil, David S. Pearson, Alison Hickey, Brent Levy, Andrea L. Smillie, Diane Manara, Valerie Paul and Brian Sharp as full-time Appeal Commissioners of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service.
