OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated June 6, 2000, pursuant to

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, as amended, the Public Service Act, and to

Chapter 70 of the said Revised Statutes, as amended, the Civil Service Act, is pleased, effective July 1, 2000, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Margaret L. MacInnis as Deputy Minister of the Office of Aboriginal Affairs, which appointment was made by Order in Council 1998-592 dated November 17, 1998; (

b) appoint Margaret L. MacInnis as Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Aboriginal Affairs; (

c) designate Margaret L. MacInnis as a Deputy Head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and direct that she receive all customary benefits associated with the position of Deputy Head; (

d) designate Margaret L. MacInnis, in respect of her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Aboriginal Affairs, to be an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; and (

e) fix and determine the salary of Margaret L. MacInnis, in respect of her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Aboriginal Affairs, to be paid at such rate as may be determined by the Priorities and Planning Committee in accordance with the Management Compensation Plan approved from time to time by the Governor in Council.
