OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration dated August 2, 2022, and pursuant to Sections 3, 5, and 6 of

Chapter 37 of the Acts of 2010, the Labour Board Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Leigh Davis of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a vice-chair of the Labour Board for a term of three (3) years commencing August 30, 2022; (

b) reappoint Eric Slone of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a vice-chair of the Labour Board for a term of three (3) years commencing August 30, 2022; (

c) order that the remuneration for Leigh Davis be fixed in the following aggregate amounts, payable for her services as a vice-chair of the Labour Board: (

i) an annual $10,000 honorarium to be paid pro rata; (ii) $300.00 per day for each day she conducts a hearing as a vice-chair or participates in necessary training; (iii) $150.00 per day for each day she necessarily attends to the business of the Labour Board as a vice-chair, except while conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training; and (iv) reimbursement for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling her duties as vice-chair, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; (

d) order that the remuneration for Eric Slone be fixed in the following aggregate amounts, payable for his services as a vice-chair of the Labour Board: (

i) an annual $15,000 honorarium to be paid pro rata; (ii) $300.00 per day for each day he conducts a hearing as a vice-chair or participates in necessary training; (iii) $150.00 per day for each day he necessarily attends to the business of the Labour Board as a vice-chair, except while conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training; and (iv) reimbursement for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling his duties as a vice-chair, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
