OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated September 17, 2012, and pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1998, the Public Archives Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint John N. Grant of Enfield, Hants County as a member of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia Board of Trustees, being a representative from the Royal Nova Scotia Historical Society, for a term of three years commencing November 6, 2012; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against John N. Grant of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia Board of Trustees, and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
