Section of the Assessment Act,

chapter A-14 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by adding the following definition in alphabetical order: 1 L’article de la

Loi sur l’évaluation, chapi ‐ tre A-14 des Lois révisées de 1973, est modifié par l’ad‐ jonction de la définition qui suit selon l’ordre alphabétique : “state and condition” means the physical state and condition of the real property assessed, including lease ‐ hold improvements and any addition to, deletion from or destruction of the real property; (état et condition) « état et condition » s’entend de l’état et de la condi ‐ tion physiques du bien réel évalué, y compris les amélio ‐ rations locatives ainsi que tout ajout à ce bien réel et toute suppression ou destruction de celui-ci; (state and condition) 2

Section of the Act is amended by striking out “the year for which” and substituting “the year preced‐ ing the year for which”. 2 L’article de la Loi est modifié par la suppression de « l’année pour laquelle » et son remplacement par « l’année précédant celle pour laquelle ». 3 The Act is amended by adding the following after

titre en fief simple 15.01 Except as provided in this Act or the regula ‐ tions, real property shall be assessed by the Director as if the person assessed were the owner of the title in fee simple. 15.01 Sauf dans les cas prévus par la présente loi ou ses règlements, le directeur évalue les biens réels comme si la personne dont les biens réels sont évalués est le pro ‐ priétaire du

titre en fief simple. 1 State and condition of real property État et condition des biens réels 15.02 Subject to

section 15, the assessment of real property shall reflect the state and condition of the real property as it existed on January of the year in which the assessment is made. 15.02

Sous réserve de l’article 15, l’évaluation des biens réels tient compte de leur état et condition au 1er janvier de l’année dans laquelle l’évaluation est faite. 4 Subsection 15.2(14) of the Act is amended by strik ‐ ing out “the year for which” and substituting “the year preceding the year for which”. 4

Section of the Act is amended by adding after subsection (1) the following: 5 L’article de la Loi est modifié par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après le paragraphe (1) : 21(1.01) The assessment shown on the real property assessment notice shall be the assessment that reflects the state and condition of the property as it existed on January of the year in which the assessment is made. 21(1.01) L’évaluation mentionnée dans l’avis d’éva ‐ luation de biens réels est celle qui tient compte de l’état et de la condition du bien au er janvier de l’année dans laquelle l’évaluation est faite.
