OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated December 16, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 72 of

Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2004, the Legal Profession Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to, effective January 28, 2009: (

a) reappoint Joshua Arnold, of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, to be a member of the Board of the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia for a term of 2 years; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Joshua Arnold, and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
