OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Act dated September 5, 2019, and pursuant to
Section 22 of
Chapter 214 of the Revised Statues of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act , is pleased, effective November 1, 2019, to:
a) appoint Monica Paris of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term commencing on November 1, 2019;
b) appoint Wanda MacDonald of Bolyston, Guysborough County, as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term commencing on November 1, 2019; and
c) determine the remuneration of Monica Paris and Wanda MacDonald be at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission during their terms of office.
