OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Environment and Labour dated January 16, 2003, and pursuant to Sections 17 and 18 of

Chapter 246 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Labour Standards Code, is pleased, effective January 19, 2003, to: (

a) reappoint Susan Ashley of Canning, Kings County, as a member and designate her Chair of the Labour Standards Tribunal (Nova Scotia) so that she shall have and shall exercise jurisdiction in relation to any appeal, matter or thing heard before her as a member and Chair of the Labour Standards Tribunal (Nova Scotia) by virtue of her appointment by Order in Council 95-120 as amended by Order in Council 2000-17, until such time that she completes and/or renders a final decision in respect of said appeal, matter or thing; (

b) fix the remuneration of Susan Ashley at $6,000.00 per annum, plus $100.00 per day for each day of attendance at hearings of the Labour Standards Tribunal as referred to in paragraph (a); (

c) reappoint Donna G. Cameron of Halifax Regional Municipality, as an alternate member of the Labour Standards Tribunal (Nova Scotia) so that she shall have and shall exercise jurisdiction in relation to any appeal, matter or thing heard before her as an alternate member of the Labour Standards Tribunal (Nova Scotia) by virtue of her appointment by Order in Council 95-693 as amended by Order in Council 2000-17, until such time that she completes and/or renders a final decision in respect of said appeal, matter or thing; (

d) fix the remuneration of Donna G. Cameron at $100.00 for each day of attendance at hearings of the Labour Standards Tribunal as referred to in paragraph (c); and (

e) in respect of E.A. Nelson Blackburn, Q.C., amend clause (

c) of Order in Council 2002-567 dated December 17, 2002, by adding the phrase "for all matters pending or coming before the Tribunal with the exception of matters which were heard before Susan Ashley as a member and Chair of the Labour Standards Tribunal (Nova Scotia) by virtue of her appointment by Order in Council 95-120 as amended by Order in Council 2000-17.
