OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Community Services dated July 25, 2013, and pursuant to

Section 20 of

Chapter 211 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Housing Act and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act, is pleased to approve: (

a) Housing Nova Scotia entering into an agreement with Halifax Regional Municipality to commence activities required for a development agreement; (

b) Housing Nova Scotia negotiating and entering into an agreement of purchase and sale and buy back agreement with the Halifax Regional Municipality in the form and substantially consistent with the agreements as set out in

Schedule A.1 and A.2, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and (

c) a transfer of funds from the General Revenue Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia in favour of Housing Nova Scotia to a maximum of Forty-Seven Million Dollars ($47,000,000.00) in Canadian Funds for the purposes of the transactions described in paragraphs (

a) and (

b) above, and for transactions to complete Phase One of the Bloomfield Redevelopment Project.
