OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated November 30, 2000, and pursuant to

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, as amended, the Public Service Act, and

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and Order in Council 93-352, dated April 8, 1993, which Order established the Department of Justice, is pleased, effective November 30, 2000, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Douglas J. Keefe as Acting Deputy Minister of Justice and Acting Deputy Attorney General, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2000-596 dated November 17, 2000; (

b) appoint Douglas J. Keefe to be Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General; (

c) order that Douglas J. Keefe shall receive remuneration in accordance with the Management Compensation Pay Plan, MCP38; (

d) designate Douglas J. Keefe as a Deputy Head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and determine that he shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of Deputy Minister; and (

e) designate Douglas J. Keefe as an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
