LAPP (2012 CONTRIBUTION RATE INCREASE)

AMENDMENT REGULATION

Schedule 1 of the Public Sector

Pension Plans Act.

1 The Local Authorities Pension Plan (AR 366/93), as

amended by sections 6 and 7 of the LAPP (2010-12

Contribution Rate Increases) Amendment Regulation

(AR 327/2009), is amended by this Regulation.

Section 13(1) is amended

(

a) in clause (

a) by striking out "8.91%" and

substituting "9.43%";

(

b) in clause (

b) by striking out "12.74%" and

substituting "13.47%".

Section 15(1) is amended

(

a) in clause (

a) by striking out "9.91%" and substituting

"10.43%";

(

b) in clause (

b) by striking out "13.74%" and

substituting "14.47%".

4 This Regulation comes into force on January 1, 2013.

DESIGNATION AND TRANSFER OF RESPONSIBILITY

AMENDMENT REGULATION

on November 8, 2011 pursuant to sections 16, 17 and 18 of the Government

Organization Act.

1 The Designation and Transfer of Responsibility

Regulation (AR 205/2011) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 9 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (4):

(5) The responsibility for that part of the public service associated

with the part of the appropriation transferred under subsection (6) is

transferred from the Minister of Seniors to the responsibility of the

Minister of Health and Wellness.

(6) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended

balance of element 5.3, Seniors Drug Benefits, and element 5.4,

Seniors Supplemental Health Benefits, of Program 5, Drug and

Supplemental Health Benefits, and element 7.4, Continuing Care

Initiatives, of Program 7, Support Programs, of the 2011-12

Government appropriation for Health and Wellness is transferred

from the Minister of Seniors to the Minister of Health and Wellness.

Section 10 is amended

(

a) by adding the following after subsection (1):

(1.1) The responsibility for the Public Service Employee

Relations Act is transferred to the Minister of Human Services.

(

b) by adding the following after subsection (8):

(8.1) The responsibility for that part of the public service

associated with the part of the appropriation transferred under

subsection (8.2) is transferred from the Minister of

Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations to

the responsibility of the Minister of Human Services.

(8.2) The responsibility for the administration of the

unexpended balance of Program 4, Immigration, of the

2011-12 Government appropriation for Employment and

Immigration is transferred from the Minister of

Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations to

the Minister of Human Services, except the following:

that portion of element 4.1, Immigration Policy Support,

directly related to the Federal/Provincial Strategic

Immigration Policy.

Section 12 is amended

(

a) in subsection (3) by striking out "subsections (4),

(5) and (6)" and substituting "subsections (4) and (5)";

(

b) by repealing subsection (6);

(

c) by adding the following before subsection (7):

(6.1) The responsibility for the administration of the

Francophone Secretariat is transferred to the Minister of

Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations.

(6.2) The responsibility for that part of the public service

responsible for administering the Francophone Secretariat is

transferred to the Minister of Intergovernmental, International

and Aboriginal Relations.

(6.3) The responsibility for the administration of the

unexpended balance of Program 10, Francophone Secretariat,

of the 2011-12 Government appropriation for Municipal

Affairs is transferred to the Minister of Intergovernmental,

International and Aboriginal Relations.

Section 14 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (3) and substituting the

following:

(3) The responsibility for sections 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10 of

Schedule 10 to the Government Organization Act continues as

the common responsibility of the Minister of Municipal Affairs

and the Minister of Human Services.

(3.1) The responsibility for the Alberta Housing Act, except

section 17, is transferred to the common responsibility of the

Minister of Municipal Affairs and the Minister of Seniors.

(3.2) The responsibility for

section 1 of

Schedule 13 to the

Government Organization Act is transferred to the common

responsibility of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and the

Minister of Seniors.

(

b) by adding the following after subsection (6):

(7) The powers, duties and functions of the Minister in the

Housing and Urban Affairs Grants Regulation (AR 180/2009)

are transferred to the responsibility of the Minister of

Municipal Affairs.

Section 15 is amended

(

a) in subsection (3) by striking out "subsections (4) and

(5)" and substituting "subsection (4)";

(

b) by repealing subsection (5).

Section 21 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1)(d);

(

b) by adding the following after subsection (6):

(7) The responsibility for that part of the public service

associated with the part of the appropriation transferred under

subsection (8) is transferred to the responsibility of the

President of Treasury Board and Enterprise.

(8) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended

balance of the 2011-12 Government appropriation for Treasury

Board is transferred to the President of Treasury Board and

Enterprise.
