Explanatory Note

Section 17, subsection (2) is revised for greater clarity and precision. Subsection (2) presently reads: "

(2) In such a case, at least three of the jurymen shall be mine workers."

An Act to amend The Coroners Act (Assented to I 1961) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Coroners Act, being

chapter 62 of the Revised Statutes, is her~by amended.

Section 17 is amended by striking out subsection (2) and by substituting the following:

(2) At an inquest where the death may have been caused by an explosion or accident at a mine not less than three of the jurymen shall be mine workers. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to.
