B.C. Reg. 21/2002, deposited February 12, 2002, pursuant to the

PHARMACISTS, PHARMACY OPERATIONS AND DRUG SCHEDULING ACT [Section 64]. Order in Council 112/2002, approved and ordered February 11, 2002.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the amendments to the Drug Schedules as set out in the attached Resolutions of the Council of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, dated September 14, 2001, are hereby approved.

Resolution of the Council of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia ("the Council"), made at Vancouver, British Columbia, the 14th day of September 2001.

RESOLVED THAT:

In accordance with the authority established in

section 64 of The Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 363 of British Columbia, the Council amends the Drug Schedules Regulation as set out in the attached schedule, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

Schedule

That, effective immediately, the Drug Schedules Regulation be amended by the deletion of:

2 Phenylpropanolamine and its salts and preparations (in preparations containing more than 50 mg per single dose of an immediate release preparation, or more than 75 mg per single dose of a controlled or sustained release preparation, or preparations for which the recommended total daily dose is greater than 150 mg).

RESOLVED THAT:

In accordance with the authority established in

Schedule

That, effective immediately, the Drug Schedules Regulation be amended by the deletion of:

2 Dimenhydrinate and its salts (for oral, parenteral or rectal use when sold in packages greater than 30 dosage units)

3 Dimenhydrinate and its salts (for oral, parenteral or rectal use when sold in packages of 30 dosage units or less)

And the addition of:

2 Dimenhydrinate and its salts (for oral use when sold in packages of greater than 30 dosage units for parenteral use)

3 Dimenhydrinate and its salts (for oral use when sold in packages of 30 dosage units or less or for rectal use)
