Statute: Emergency "911" Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Emergency Measures Act dated January 16, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 14 of

Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1992, the Emergency "911" Act, is pleased to: (

a) make regulations respecting the establishment of fees to recover costs for the provision of Emergency 911 services in the form set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and (

b) designate the E911 Cost Recovery Fund as a special fund as defined in clause 2(

n) of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, effective on and after February 2, 2001, except for subsection 3(4) of the regulations, which is effective on and after April 1, 2001.
