Order in Council 121/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered 375/2019, dated March 8, 2019, Thomas Carrique was appointed as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police for a period not to exceed three years, which appointment was effective from the March 9, 2019 start date set by the Minister;

And

whereas it is desirable that Thomas Carrique be reappointed as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police;

Therefore pursuant to subsection 17(1) of the Police Services Act , as amended, Thomas Carrique be reappointed as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, effective from March 9, 2022, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not to exceed three years from the effective date of this reappointment.
