Statute: Solemnization of Marriage Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Business and Consumer Services dated May 12, 1999, pursuant to

Section 14 of

Chapter 436 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Solemnization of Marriage Act, is pleased to: (

a) accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of the following persons as Deputy Issuers of Marriage Licenses: Sharal Riggs of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, which appointment was made by Order in Council 96-516 dated July 3, 1996; Jennifer Walsh of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, which appointment was made by Order in Council 95-918 dated December 5, 1995; Brenda Cashen of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, which appointment was made by Order in Council 92-485 dated May 12, 1992; and (

b) appoint the following persons as Deputy Issuers of Marriage Licenses at Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, effective May 1, 1999: Heather Dube of Halifax Regional Municipality; and Sara Keeler of Halifax Regional Municipality.
