AN ACT TO AMEND THE APPROPRIATION (INTERIM SUPPLY) ACT, 1972 (Assented to , 1972) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advi.oe and consent of the Legis:llative Assemhly of Alberta, enacts as foHows: 1. The Appropriation (Interim Supply) Act, 1972 is hereby amended. 2.

Section is amended (

a) by striking out the figures "$449,979,469" and by substituting the figures "$723,476,655.50", and (

b) as to clause (

a) by striking out the words "one fourth" and by substituting the words "one-half". 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill will amend The Appropriation (Interim Supply) Act, 1972 enacted on Marich 28, 1972 (See Bill 3). 2.

Section presently reads: 1. From and Qut of the General Revenue Fund, there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding $449,979,469 towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the Public Service from the first day of April, 1972 to the 31st day of March, 1973, not otherwise provided for and being the aggregate of (

a) one-fourth of the amount of the items set forth in the Esti mates for the fiscal year ending the 31st day of March, 1973 as laid before the Legislative Assembly at the present session of the Legis~ature, except Health and Social Development De partment Appropriation and Educatilon Department Ap propriation 1303, and (

b) three-quarters of the amount of the items set forth in Health and S<ocial Development Department Appropriation and Education Department AppropriaUon in the Estimates for the fiscal year ending the 31st day of March, 1973, as laid before the Legislative Assembly at the present session of the Legislature.
