In general terms, the pu rpose of Municipal Plan Amendment No. 26, 2008 and Development Regulations amendment No. 31, 2008 is to re -designate and re-zone the rear portion of 939-941 Conception Bay Highway, Kelligrews, from Residential Medium Density (R-2) and Open Space Conservation (OSC) to Commercial (C-1) to accommodate self-storage buildings. The land between the existing building and Lower Gullies River will remain designated and zoned Pub lic (

P) and a 20-metre watercourse buffer along the Lower Gullies River will remain zoned Open Space Conservation (OSC). The Conception Bay South Municipal Plan Amendment No. 26, 2008 and Development Regulations Amendments No. 31, 2008 will come into effect on the date of publication of this notice in The Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette. TOWN OF CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH Elaine Mitchell, MCIP, Director of Planning Jan 23 TOWN OF PARADISE DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT #29-2007 Take notice that the Minister of Municipal Affairs has registered the Town of Paradise Municipal Development Regulations Amendment No. 29 – 2007. The Town of Paradise Council adopted the Amendment on January 6, 2009. Amendment No.29-2007 re-zones lands located east of St. Thomas Line and south of Stapleton’s Road from Residential Subdivision Area to Residential Low Density. The amendment allows for th e development of an 85-lot serviced residential subdivision. ST.

JOHN’S URBAN REGION REGIONAL PLAN AMENDMENT #1- 2008 The Minister of Municipal A ffairs has approved St. John’s Urban Regional Plan Amendment No. 1, 2008. The amendment re-designates lands located east of St. Thomas Line and south of Stapleton’s Road from “Rural” to “Urban Development”. This Regi onal Plan Amendment was required in order for the Town to proceed with Development Regulations Amendment No. 29, 2007. This notice is made pursuant to and subject to the Canada-Newfoundland Atlantic Accord Implementation Act, S.C., 1987, c. 3, and the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Newfoundland and Labrador Act , RSNL, 1990, cC-2. summary of the terms and conditions of the above exploration licence: 1. The exploration licence confers: (

a) the right to explore for, and the exclusive right to drill and test for, petroleum; (

b) the exclusive right to develop those portions of the offshore area in order to produce petroleum; and (

c) the exclusive right, subject to compliance with the other provisions of the Act, to obtain a production licence. 2. The exploration licence was issued for a nine-year term effective January 15, 2009. 3. Period I is a period of five (5) years commencing on the effective date of this licence specified below. The interest owner shall commence the drilling of the well within Period I, and diligently pursue such drilling thereafter, as a condition precedent to obtaining tenure during Period II. 4.

The interest owner may at its option extend Period I from five (5) years to six (6) years by posting a Drilling Deposit with the Board before the end of the fifth year of Period I. If a Drilling Deposit is posted, it will be refunded in full if the Licence is validated for Period II by the drilling of a well. If a validation well is not drilled, the Drilling Deposit will be forfeited to the Receiver General for Canada upon the termination of the Licence. Allowable Expenditures cannot be applied against the Drilling Deposit. 5.

Upon the expiration of Period II, there shall be a deemed surrender of the interest except as it relates to the lands or any portion thereof subject to a significant discovery licence, or a production licence. 6. The interest owner for the above exploration licence was required to provide the following security deposit in the form of a promissory note satisfactory to the Board: Exploration Licence Security Deposit 1115 $450,000 A credit against the deposit will be made following each anniversary date of each respective exploration licence on the basis of 25% of allowable expenditures.

Any deposit balance remaining at the end of Period I, or following the termination of a well commenced and being pursued diligently but not terminated within Period I, or upon the surrender of rights, will be forfeited. 7. Rentals will be applicable only in Period II at a rate of $2.50 per hectare in respect of the first year and increasing thereafter by $2.50 per hectare per year, up to and including the third year. Rentals for the fourth year will be $7.50 per hectare.

section 7 of the Wild Life Act, the Lieuten- ant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. Dated at St. John’s, January 15, 2009. Gary Norris Clerk of the Executive Council REGULATIONS Analysis 1. S.14 Amdt. Hunting and trapping 1. Subsection 14(4) of the Wild Life Regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

(4) Notwithstanding subsection (3), CNLR 1156/96 as amended

a) the hunting, taking and killing of furbearing animals by means of firearms is permitted in the Labrador portion of the province; and (

b) the hunting, taking and killing of coyote, fox and lynx, by the holder of a trapper’s licence using a center-fire rifle not greater than .225 calibre or a shotgun using shot size 2 or larger is permitted on the Island portion of the province. ©Earl G. Tucker, Queen's Printer
