In accordance with section 4(1) of the

Interpretation Act, this Bill comes into force on the date it receives Royal Assent. Explanatory Notes This Bill will amend

chapter R-18 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1980. 2

Section presently reads: 2(1) The Provincial Treasurer shall establish a fund to be known as the Rural Electrification Revolving Fund.

(2) From time to time there shall be advanced from the General Revenue Fund to the fund, on the requisition of the Director money required for the purposes of this Act, but the amount of advances outstanding at any time shall not exceed $55 000 000.
