B.C. Reg. 169/2006, deposited June 14, 2006, pursuant to the PHARMACISTS, PHARMACY OPERATIONS AND DRUG SCHEDULING ACT [Section 64 (2)]. Order in Council 412/2006, approved and ordered June 13, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the amendments to the Drug Schedules Regulation, B.C. Reg. 9/98, set out in the attached Resolutions of the Council of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia dated September 19, 2003 and April 21, 2006, is approved.

Resolution of the Council of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia ("the Council"), made at Vancouver, British Columbia, the 19 day of September 2003.

RESOLVED THAT:

In accordance with the authority established in

Section 64 of The Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 363 of British Columbia, the Council amends the Drug Schedules Regulation as set out in the attached schedule, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

Schedule

That, effective immediately, the Drug Schedules Regulation be amended by the deletion of:

3 Acetaminophen (in sustained-release formulations containing greater than 650 mg per unit and in package sizes greater than 50 units)

and the addition of:

3 Acetaminophen (in sustained-release formulations containing greater than 650 mg per unit or in package sizes greater than 50 units)

1 Alteplase and its salts and derivatives

1 Anakinra and its salts and derivatives

1 Atipamezole and its salts

1 Bimatoprost and its derivatives

1 Carprofen and its salts and derivatives

1 Ganirelix and its salts and derivatives

1 Glimepiride

1 Medetomidine and its salts

1 Moxidectin and its derivatives when sold for the prevention of heartworm in dogs

1 Nicotine and its salts, for human use, except

(

a) in natural substances;

(

b) in the form of a chewing gum containing 4 mg or less of nicotine per dosage unit;

(

c) in the form of a transdermal patch with a delivery rate of 22 mg or less of nicotine per day; or

(

d) in a form to be administered orally by means of an inhalation device delivering 4 mg or less of nicotine per dosage unit

1 Orbifloxacin and its salts and derivatives

1 Palivizumab

1 Romifidine and its salts

1 Tegaserod and its salts

1 Thyrotropin alfa

1 Tiotropium bromide

1 Tolfenamic acid and its salts and derivatives

1 Unoprostone and its salts and derivatives

1 Valdecoxib and its salts

1 Valganciclovir and its salts and derivatives

RESOLVED THAT:
