OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated October 7, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and subsection 10(1) of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act is pleased to: (
a) effective October 7, 2021: (
i) appoint Dwayne Provo as Associate Deputy Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs, who shall be referred to as the Chief Executive Officer of African Nova Scotian Affairs; (ii) designate Dwayne Provo as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; and (iii) fix and determine the salary of Dwayne Provo to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; and (iv) direct that Dwayne Provo shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head, including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (
b) effective October 18, 2021: (
i) appoint Kathleen Trott as Associate Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness; (ii) designate Kathleen Trott as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (iii) fix and determine the salary of Kathleen Trott to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; and (iv) direct that Kathleen Trott shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head, including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
