OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated July 4, 2001, and pursuant to Sections 4, 9 and 10 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, and
Section 2 of
Chapter 496 of the said Revised Statutes, the Voluntary Planning Act, and all other authority in her vested, is pleased to, effective July 13, 2001, to: (
a) direct that all affairs and matters relating to reporting and budget responsibilities for Voluntary Planning under the Voluntary Planning Act as have heretofore been the responsibility of the Ministers of Economic Development and Finance are assigned to the Minister responsible for Treasury and Policy Board and that those affairs and matters be attached to Treasury and Policy Board for administrative purposes; (
b) direct that a reference in any Act of the Legislature or in any rule, order, regulation, by-law, ordinance or proceeding or in any document whatsoever to a department or to a Minister or Deputy Minister of that department to which affairs and matters transferred by this order were previously assigned, whether the reference is by official name or otherwise, shall, with respect to any subsequent transaction, matter or thing be held and construed to be a reference to the department or to the Minister, as the case may be, or Deputy Minister of that department to which the affairs and matters have been transferred.
