B.C. Reg. 192/2002, deposited July 5, 2002, pursuant to the WILDLIFE ACT [section 108 (2) and (3)]. Order in Council 580/2002, approved and ordered July 4, 2002.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Motor Vehicle Prohibition Regulation, B.C. Reg. 196/99, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix. — J. MURRAY,

Appendix

1 The Motor Vehicle Prohibition Regulation, B.C. Reg. 196/99, is amended in

Schedule 1 by

(

a) amending item 20 by striking out "Map. No. 1-20" and substituting "Map No. 1-20/02",

(

b) repealing Map No. 1-20" and replacing it with the attached Map No. 1-20/02, and

(

c) adding the following items and the attached Map No. 1-51/02:

Skull Mountain

51 Effective during the period September 1 to December 10, inclusive, in that portion of M.U. 3-28 known as the Skull Mountain Special Resource Management Zone outlined in orange on the attached Map No. 1-51/02 (except for those roads highlighted in solid green on that map).

Canal Flats

52 Effective during the period of December 1 to April 30 inclusive, in that portion of M.U. 4-25 (except on private properties and access to private properties) contained within the following described boundaries:

Commencing at the intersection of a line 100 metres due east of and parallel with Granger Road and the southerly boundary of Sub Lot 72; thence due east to the height of land to the east of Columbia Lake; thence in a southerly direction along said height of land to Mount Sabine; thence in a southwesterly direction along said height of land to the 823 metre contour; thence in a northerly direction along the 823 metre contour to its intersection with a line 100 metres due east of and parallel with Granger Road; thence in a northerly direction to the point of commencement.

Schedule 2 is amended by

(

a) repealing item 23 and substituting the following:

Malde Creek

23 During the periods April 1 to June 30 inclusive and September 1 to November 30 inclusive, in that portion of M.U. 4-9 that is the drainage area of Malde, Goodeve, Morris and Shepherd Creeks, and the drainage area of Cambridge Creek upstream of the 750 metre elevation.

(

b) repealing item 25 and substituting the following:

Deer Creek Road

25 During the period September 1 to November 30 inclusive, in that portion of M.U. 4-15 commencing at approximately 5 km on the East Fork of Deer Creek Road and at approximately 5 km on the West Fork of Deer Creek Road; and the watersheds of Gladstone, Hutchison and Sangrida Creeks and above the 750 metre elevation in the watersheds of Dawson's, Sunshine and Twobits Creeks.

(

a) adding the following item:

Dog Creek

40 During the period September 1 to November 30 inclusive, in that portion of M.U. 4-14 that is the watershed of Dog Creek upstream from the Peter Creek bridge.

Schedule 7 is amended in item 2

(

a) by striking out "Map No. 7-2" and substituting "Map No. 7-2/02", and

(

b) by striking out "at the point of intersection of the natural boundary of Ironwood Creek and the Revelstoke reservoir on the westerly shore thereof;" and substituting "at the point on the westerly shore of the Revelstoke reservoir due west of the natural intersection of La Forme Creek and the Revelstoke reservoir;" and by striking out "thence easterly to the north bank of the Jordan River; thence easterly and southerly along the northerly bank of the Jordan River to its point of intersection with an unnamed creek 1.5 km north of the confluence of Jordan River and Copeland Creek thence due east to the height of land of Frisby Ridge between the Jordan River and Revelstoke Lake; thence easterly on the northerly bank of Ironbridge Creek" and substituting "thence easterly along the height of land between Jordan River and Frisby Creek; thence easterly". , and by repealing Map No. 7-2 and substituting the attached Map No. 7-2/02.

section 6 of the Regulations Act , I hereby exempt from publication the maps attached to B.C. Reg. 192/2002.
