EGG PRODUCTION AND MARKETING AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Alberta Egg Producers Board on April 7, 2004 pursuant to sections 26

and 27 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.

1 The Egg Production and Marketing Regulation

(AR 293/97) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 14(1) is amended by striking out "5%" and

substituting "7%".

Traffic Safety Act

TRAFFIC SAFETY (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS)

AMENDMENT REGULATION

Filed: May 28, 2004

Made by the Minister of Transportation (M.O. 14/04) on May 19, 2004 pursuant to

section 156 of the Traffic Safety Act.

1 The following enactments are amended by striking out

"18 000" or "18,000", as the case may be, and substituting

"11 794":

(a)

section 1(1)(

d) of the Commercial Vehicle

Maintenance Standards Regulation (AR 118/89);

(

b) section 1(

b) of the Commercial Vehicle Inspection

Regulation (AR 414/91);

(c) sections 2(1), 3(1) and 25 of the Commercial Vehicle

Certificate and Insurance Regulation (AR 314/2002);

(d)

section 2(1)(

b) and (2)(

b) of the Drivers' Hours of

Service Regulation (AR 317/2002).

Section 1(1)(

d) of the Commercial Vehicle Maintenance

Standards Regulation (AR 118/89) is amended by striking

out "are registered" and substituting "is registered".

3 The Commercial Vehicle Inspection Regulation (AR

414/91) is amended

(

a) in

section 16(2)

(

i) in clause (a)(

i) by striking out "as a heavy duty

mechanic";

(ii) by repealing clause (b);

(

b) in

section 17(1)(

b) by striking out "as a heavy duty

mechanic".

4 The Commercial Vehicle Certificate and Insurance

Regulation (AR 314/2002) is amended

(

a) in

section 3(2) by striking out "less than 18,000

kilograms" and substituting "4500 kilograms or more";

(

b) in

section 7

(

i) by renumbering it as

section 7(1);

(ii) in subsection (1) by striking out "for not more

than 60 days";

(iii) by adding the following after subsection (1):

(2) The term of the safety fitness certificate is to be that

established by the Registrar, but not exceeding 18 months

in duration.

Section 1(ggg)(

i) of the Commercial Vehicle Dimension

and Weight Regulation (AR 315/2002) is amended by adding

"at least" after "capacity of".

6 This Regulation comes into force on September 1, 2004.

VEHICLE SEIZURE AND REMOVAL AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Minister of Transportation (M.O. 19/04) on May 19, 2004 pursuant to

sections 18(2) and 81 of the Traffic Safety Act.

1 The Vehicle Seizure and Removal Regulation

(AR 323/2002) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 22(2) is amended by striking out "June 1, 2004"

and substituting "January 1, 2005".
