Statute: Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism and Culture dated November 27, 2003, and pursuant to Sections 5 and 9 of

Chapter 22 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Carolyn Moore of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for a term commencing December 19, 2003, and ending June 30, 2005; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointee of the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
