CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Matrimonial Property Act (Assented to June 15, 1988) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Matrimonial Property Amendment Act, 1988. S.S. 1979, c.M-6.1,

section amended The following subsection is added after subsection 38(4) of The Matrimonial Property Act: “

(4.1) Without limiting the generality of subsection (4), an interspousal contract entered into on or after June 4, 1986 may provide that, notwithstanding the Canada Pension Plan, as amended from time to time, there may be no division between the parties of unadjusted pensionable earnings pursuant to that Act”. Coming into force This Act comes into force on assent but is retroactive and is deemed to have been in force on and from January 1, 1987.
