Order in Council 798/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1759/2023, dated November 30, 2023, Benita Wassenaar was appointed as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council (the “Council”), to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years from the effective date of the appointment;

And

whereas Benita Wassenaar has, in writing, effective May 13, 2024, resigned her appointment as a part-time member of the Council;

Therefore pursuant to subsection 8(2) of the Coroners Act , as amended, Order in Council numbered O.C. 1759/2023, dated November 30, 2023, appointing Benita Wassenaar as a part-time member of the Council, is hereby revoked effective the date this Order in Council is made.
