OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated April 19, 2011, and pursuant to
Section 6 of
Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, as amended by
Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1999,
An Act to Amend
Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint the following persons as subsequent members of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation for a term of two years effective June 7, 2011: (i)\x09N. Fraser Patterson of Bras d'Or, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; (ii)\x09Anne Peters of South West Margaree, Inverness County; (iii)\x09Rev. Sandra Morrison of Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, and (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against members of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
